That Was So Crazy!
See? This is the sort of thing that happens when I wind up at the Black Dragon unexpectedly. A comic is demanded but unprepared. So I panic. This is the quality of my improv.

Oh, why not? Happy Sunday.
There you go. Non-stop comics & art. I've almost caught up to when I'll start needing to draw comics just for this here blog. The cafes will be closed for the next two weeks, so there will be no chance I'll be at the Black Dragon.

Puppety Chaos!
There! I hope a solid work week of content makes up for my absences. As you can see, Barista Powers has gotten off track, but I'm not doing nothing. Just exploring new art. But can you imagine me taking this amount of time for each panel? I can't draw a stick as well as Randall Munroe, let alone keep up a storyboard style comic.

Thinking About Borders
Since I am (theoretically) working on the Barista Powers Omnibus, digital readability has been on my brain. And borders. And gesturing with stick figures. In the strip about the sets, could you tell Stick Rob had turned around, or did you think I forgot to draw his eyes? Did you know those are his eyes? This one was popular with the painters. It was also a lot of fun to watch people twist their heads around trying to read the spiral.

Penance By Puppet
The guy in the bandanna is Dave, from No Strings Puppetworks. Puppetizing is not only a cool word I've made up, but a fun process for me as an artist. Or an illustrator... hey oh! A little art joke there.

A Very Puppety Distraction
Did you know I often draw characters with no plan? It's true! I just start drawing, and they start talking. Or don't. There's something natural then, for me, about drawing puppets.

Puppets and Zombies
So, I've been crap at updating lately. So I thought I'd share some of what I've been working on! I've been drawing puppets. Both drawing puppets, and puppetizing my friends. Check out No Strings Puppetworks. They're my buds, and they've inspired me to start drawing again. I've been drawing more regularly, but unlike Barista Powers, these have no due date or plotline. It's relaxing. And I don't have remember where I'll be scheduled tomorrow.

Art Break
I dunno why I drew the pumpkin. Maybe it was around Halloween? I can't be sure. Color Spay, because Dungeons & Dragons is awesome. And playing with ink is fun. And single panel comics are way easier.

I Have A Hard Time With Names
It's true; I am ridiculously bad with names. Hannah was pleased to be the unseen star of a comic, and that I remember her drink history. Pam, as usual, was unimpressed.
