Postcards: Maren's Last Supper

Before she left us for Texas... an idea I still have some feels about... Maren asked me to draw a Barista Powers Last Supper for her.

It was in my Field Notes; it must worked on.  I began with researching the Last Supper and doing some sketches.

And from there onto the actual postcard:

After getting this far, I started scanning my progress, convinced I would ruin the card at some stage.

From left to right: Benish, Maureen, Sarah, Melanie, Pam, Maren, Rob, Burbol, Geoff, Ben, Doug.

And there you have it.

Everybody... everybody...

Not the best renderings of some of the characters, but it was good practice.  I introduced two new characters as well!!

Still waiting on the proof!

Still waiting on the proof to arrive.  5 - 10 days sadly does not mean Within 48 Hours, as I feel it should, in this instance.  I've only got one comic left to scan, so I've got to get drawing.  I'm working on introducing Geoff and Maren.  I have a design for Maren and... and that's exactly how much progress I've made.

And now, some Burbol.

The Beauty Of Sentences

The word/name Burbol seems to correlate with the popularity of a comic, so let me say to you, use sentences; it is what Burbol would do.  This is a re-draw of a comic that was very popular with polite customers.  It was less popular with... other people.

Burbol's Big Adventure

I was asking for ideas, and Burbol suggested he star in a comic.  So I illustrated the day he switched from Nonfat to Breve.  A glorious day.
