Distraction Is Kind Of A Theme

Yep.  Still dealing with events and this journal.  I am 15/300ths of the way through.  Wassat?  1/20th of the prompts are complete.  Check it out!  Art Majors doing math.  I do not use fixative; you can see quite a bit of the drawings beginning to transfer to the their facing page.  And, when I have used ink, bleeding through to the back.

More Things That Distract Me

Once again, I have been drawing, but no comics!  The past two weeks have been an event & event preparation at work.  I have not worked in a cafe in two weeks!  Just for funzies, I was also sick all last week.  Still have a bit of an ear infection.  Good times.  Good times.  When I am not a terrible plague zombie, I have slowly been tackling that blasted drawing prompts journal.  Enjoy!

The Blank Slate

Sometimes, more often lately, I sit down; I get out my pens; I get out the paper; I turn on the lamp; I set myself to drawing, and what I come up with is this:

A whole lotta nothing, and a vaguely discomforting drawing of inspiration fleeing my brain.  Hope the 300 drawing prompts will help.  You remember the 300 drawing prompts, right?  Ross gave them to me.  He also gave me this poster he made:

How cool is that?  I envy the mind that can make an interesting display of the everyday.  It is often a goal of my photography, and I think we could all do more with displaying our knowledge such that others are encouraged to interact with it and us.  Did that make sense?  I think I need to chew on this idea more.

Ross challenges me to grow as an artist.  No one likes being challenged.  Or growing.
