Sometimes Maren takes notes for comic ideas.  Some of these ideas are solicited; most are not.  From the most recent note: "stabby baristas = candy from Rob."  So here we are.

How We Decide What Specials To Run

I'm still trying to get in the habit of introducing the characters in that first panel, as per customer request.  No one actually requested it, but I still haven't had time for a cast page, so that's what they're getting instead.  I'd been wanting to work Sam into more comics, and she suggested that since she had been a biologist, she should be able to summon monkeys.  I agreed, and wrote a note on my register that said "Why does Sam summon monkies?"  I always spell monkeys wrong.  Later that day Maren added a note next to mine that said "to fight Maren's sloth army!"  She's been trying to get me to order Thai iced tea; it all crashed together in my head.

Pastry Of The Demon

Have you seen Night Of The Demon?  No?  Go do it!  It's so good.  My dad and his brothers got me into black and white horror movies, and some of them are just fantastic.  Just the right amount of scary for kids.  Invisible men, giants ants, and cursed runes.  What's not to love?
