Barista Powers: A Bit Of Art

My hearing is not great, and it leads to some... creative guesses.  I drew this at the last Barista Team Meeting.

Can you guess what I thought I heard?

Maybe that's what Doug said, and maybe that's what he was picturing when he said it, but my guess is no.

I also drew this, but just because I miss Maren's constant barrage of ideas.

The Humanity!

Boom!  It's up on a Thursday, and with two extra panels by Shaun.

I'm Too In Debt To Be Worth Suing.

Did you friends ever try to work Don't Speak by No Doubt into conversation?  Was it just my friends?  I've heard folks use other song lyrics into what they're saying; my friends are not unique in that regard.  If you haven't yourself, consider it a new goal.

Don't Speak came on and I realized I could work the lyrics into clumsy responses to my daily life.  Put Doug, Geoff, and I together, and this is not outside the realm of possibility.  Too much caffeine is pretty rare for me, and usually involves me running everywhere I go.  My brain straight up breaking is typically exhaustion, stress, or exhaustion from stress.  Sometimes its a fever!  Right now is a perfect example.  I'm exhausted, and this paragraph is barely comprehensible.

Layers. And Narwhal.

I don't really like the London Fog.  I don't have the seething hatred for it that has become associated with me.  Or rather, I didn't until it did.  Now that Rob is synonymous with London Fog loathing, I resent the drink even more.  Just call it an Earl Grey Latte with vanilla.  You can get it without vanilla.  You can get other tea lattes.  But I digress.  I don't really remember having a plan for this one.

Format Update:

Are the words too small?  That's something I routinely worry about.  My handwriting isn't the best, and I don't block out anything in advance.  Sometimes I'll practice a panel once before drawing it, but most comics get drawn in a single go.

Shaunsy Lumpkins

This is one of more controversial strips.  It's my Ulysses.  It may take you more than one reading to fully comprehend its brilliance.  While the plot may be thin, it's about immersing yourself in the environments.  Really hearing the characters voices.  Revel in the introduction of Shaun.  In a way, this is a six panel comic.  But in another way, it is a ten panel comic.  Think on it.

This is lunch.

This is pretty much lunch, everyday.  It's cool, he keeps us all informed.

Everybody... everybody...

Not the best renderings of some of the characters, but it was good practice.  I introduced two new characters as well!!

There's No Such Thing As Too Much Coffee

Sanity occasionally departs at work, but we've got a process for that.  It works out in the end.

With Our Powers Combined!

I think this was originally three different comics, but it combines well.  I was looking for this in the archives, and couldn't find it.  I need to be better with labels.
