Woo boy did this process wander around. It began with attempting to marble paper, just because we were borrowing a container from Dagny large enough to drop postcards into. I had once watched a video about suminagashi, and was confident I could figure it out. After a few missteps, including Carley's attempt to float nail polish, we achieved success; I was able to make two blue green marbled cards. And one weird pink smeared card.
I returned to Curious Woodcuts of Fanciful and Real Beasts for a seahorse.
After coloring in the seahorse, I cut it out.
My friend Maryanne sent me this article about Robin House Hospice, and their call for postcards. "“For those who don’t have much time to spare but would like to support CHAS, sending us a wee postcard is also a great way to micro-volunteer.”" Boom! Micro-volunteering.
