The Treachery of Magritte.

More redraw stuff.  I think of this me as Floating Head Rob, even if I have started adding bodies.

Pam's Vacation

What would I do without Pam?  I think everything would burn down.  Her week vacation was terrifying for me.  I dunno if I can handle her being gone longer than that. Did you notice I went extra fancy on this one?  Use two different highlighters and a silver marker.  That's class.

What now?

This one became popular once I explained it was based on a true story.  I really thought she asked for an owl.  For the next two weeks, customers entertained themselves by adding owls to their orders.

I have two followers right now.  What if you each get two of your friends to start following?  That's... six people!  I'll be basically famous.  Get on it.

Weekend Update

I redrew four panels so far this weekend, but I haven't scanned any of them yet.  I've also almost finished posting everything I have drawn so far;  I'll need to start drawing comics just to update.  But until such a time, here is a photo I took today.

Don't forget, you can check out all the Not Barista Powers things in my life here.

The Beauty Of Sentences

The word/name Burbol seems to correlate with the popularity of a comic, so let me say to you, use sentences; it is what Burbol would do.  This is a re-draw of a comic that was very popular with polite customers.  It was less popular with... other people.

I Care About Protein.

This is one of my personal favorites.  This happened!  A customer, standing in line, waiting for me to finish a drink, read a comic I had written about bacon, and then asked me if I had been to "I Care About Protein".  Can you get a better mis-remembering of The Conscious Carnivore?  I suggest no, no you cannot.

Still Faster Than Rothfuss

Remember when I said I was working on a book?  Well, I don't remember which customer it was (sorry), but one of 'em suggested I take inspiration from Jeph Jacques and re-draw my early strips.  Since I've lost a number of them, I decided to give it a shot.  I've been looking at my first book, and recreating the panels so I'll have higher resolution scans for The Omnibus.

Falling Behind In Everything

This 5:30am - 1:30pm work schedule is messing me up.  I haven't been drawing Barista Powers, or re-drawing Barista Powers, or drawing puppets.  Things are slow on the drawing front.

Burbol's Big Adventure

I was asking for ideas, and Burbol suggested he star in a comic.  So I illustrated the day he switched from Nonfat to Breve.  A glorious day.

I'm Very Busy And Important

Well, I've had some things to do.  It's a busy coupla weeks at work, and there was a bout this weekend.  And I think there's a wedding next weekend.  And then a bout not long after that.  What I'm saying is, updates will come when they come.  Stick with me.
