It's sort of a joke, when you think about it.

Sometimes my brain malfunctions.  Actually, it malfunctions quite often.  But of relevancy to us now, is that I will mis-remember phrases.  I'll know they're wrong, but it takes a while to coax it out of my brain.  Thoughts like bones, clutched by playful dogs.  I was able to tease out the sound "onder", and that's all my damned brain would let go of.  This comic is actually me trying to remember how my excuse for why there is no fmoic is phrased.
