An Honest Question

My boss does not believe in snow, and so polled the people about the quality of the previous winter.  She had, perhaps, a favored answer.

One Of My Many Quests

I've learned a lot about people and eggs.  When I first started, I didn't know that people just straight up ate boiled eggs.  Then I learned it takes a long time to peel and cup twelve dozen eggs.  Then, when we stopped pre-peeling and cupping eggs, I learned how much someone will whine about how long it takes them.  Some customers even stopped buying eggs.  An unpeeled egg was no longer worth it.  Other just started demanding containers, circumventing the goal of trying to create less waste.  Here's a fun tip:  If you buy something everyday, and want it to be in a container, bring your own container!  Craziness, I know.  I know that there are people who are just as boggled by how I live my life;  I do my best to reign in the judging.  But seriously, sometimes you just gotta learn to adapt people.

A Rough Day For Tokay

Oh, Tokay.  I'm sorry I don't give you the attention you need.  It's not you, it's this new job.  I just feel like I never have time for you.

Resolution and Updates

Once again, it's good to reassure your customers after an interruption.  They can get skittish.  Let 'em know that the spice still flows.  Especially when dropping the bomb that foods are no longer self-serve.

I Didn't Expect This To Need Clarification

The steam boiler broke on our Isis machine.  So I put up a note saying the boiler was broken.  There was also the visual evidence of a repairman being elbow deep in the machine.  And tools and parts on the counter.  Did this deter the optimistic from ordering a latte?  It did not!  I threw up the other two notes in the wild hope the point would be driven home.  Truly, I am fool.

It's Good To Be Back

Fan art and notes are the best.  Even if it's only because I supply coffee and bacon.
